Place: Central library of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

bullet

Scope:

The Euroseisrisk Workshop will address several important and emerging issues in Earthquake Engineering which have been studied both experimentally and theoretically during the period of the ongoing research activities funded by EU-DGXII. Research groups from many European Institutes participating in the Euroseisrisk Project (EVG1-CT-2001-00040) will make synthetic presentations of the most important results covering a wide range of topics in Engineering Seismology, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Earthquake Engineering. Invited worldwide known experts will also make short presentations of their research activities on topics which are closely related to the Euroseisrisk experiment. A round table discussion at the end of the workshop will try to synthesize the research undertaken in Europe and worldwide aiming to define the most important axis for future research.
