Geotechnical,
Geophysical and Geodetical Surveys
|
 |
The
objective is to provide a 3D detailed description of the large-scale soil
structure of the whole basin, in terms of precise determination of the
geometry of sediments/bedrock interface, lateral soil
and geology variation,
and dynamic soil properties for all soil formations. |
 |
Geotechnical Survey: 4 or 6 new geotechnical boreholes
in the EW direction with in situ (SPT, CPT, CH, DH) and laboratory (CTX,
RC) tests and measurements. |
 |
Geophysical Survey: in order to complete
the 3D soil structure, the post surveys performed in N-S direction are
extended to the EW direction with geoelectrical tomographies, refraction,
spectral analysis of surface waves and microtremor measurements.
|
 |
Geodetical Survey: The geodetic control network already established in the
Mygdonian Graben will be remeasured using high
precision GPS technology. The existing
network consists of 20 geodetic stations covering the whole area and was
measured with GPS in 1994 and 1997. 3D-adjustments of the network will be
used for the computation of point coordinates that will then be compared
to the 1994 and 1997 data. |
